Our Story
Started With a Job, Became a Craft
Francisco got his start in the granite business in 2007, working to support his family. Back then, it was just a job. Over the years, that job turned into a genuine passion, something he actually loves doing.
That passion is what led him to open his own shop. In 2022, Francisco founded AFJ Marble & Granite so he could do the work he loves on his own terms, serving homeowners across all of Virginia. It's a family-owned business from top to bottom, and Francisco is still personally involved in every job that comes through the shop.
He'll take on any kind of project: kitchens, outdoor living spaces, tricky installations other fabricators shy away from, even fire pits. Today, that same hands-on approach makes us a true one-stop shop for custom countertop fabrication and installation, working in granite countertops, marble, quartz, and quartzite for residential and commercial projects throughout Virginia.

"I got my start in the granite business in 2007, working to support my family. Back then it was just a job, today it's genuinely become a hobby I love. In 2022, I decided to open my own shop so I could serve homeowners across all of Virginia, not just one corner of it. I enjoy every kind of project that comes through the door: kitchens, outdoor living spaces, tricky installations other fabricators shy away from, even fire pits.

Our showroom and shop are in Rockville, and we regularly travel to Richmond, Fredericksburg, Charlottesville, and Virginia Beach, anywhere within about 2–3 hours of our door. Stop by to see slabs in person, or call ahead and we'll have a few pulled for your visit.
